The key to long lasting handmade goat milk soap is keeping it out of water between uses. Many soap dishes do not allow water to drain: soap is kept in standing water causing it to get mushy and dissolve quickly. Our cedar soap deck is an inexpensive, eco-friendly way to keep your soap dry and extend its longevity.
These cedar soap decks are handcrafted from American cedar lumber reclaimed from mill surplus. The slats cut into each deck wick water away, allowing soap to dry quickly. Cedar is a rot-resistant hardwood, and will withstand humid, wet conditions. These decks are hand carved by Shelly who works here on the farm.
Each soap deck measures 3.75 x 2.75 inches. Since this is a natural and handmade product, color, tone and size may vary slightly. Cedar products typically darken with age and usage.
