Goat Milk Soap
Since ancient times, goat milk has been renowned for its nutritional and medicinal properties. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in it. Fresh, natural goat milk contains unique fats, proteins and minerals that moisturize and rejuvenate the skin, including vitamin A, B-complex, and C; and alpha-hydroxy acid, a natural skin exfoliant. Goat milk is the only milk containing capric-caprylic triglyceride, a naturally occurring fatty acid that forms a barrier on the skin to help inhibit the loss of moisture.
Our goat milk soap contains the highest possible concentration of 100% fresh goat milk, provided by local farms. We do not add water or use powdered milk. We combine our goat milk with the finest naturals oils to provide even more moisturizing and healthful properties. We add essential and fragrance oils for scent, natural mineral pigments for color, and ground botanicals for gentle exfoliation to produce an exceptional soap. Unlike most brand-name and other handmade soaps, we do not use chemicals and detergents, such as sodium laureth/lauryl sulfate, phthalates, and parabens that will dry and irritate your skin.
All our soap is made in small batches using the cold-process method, which preserves the beneficial qualities of the goat milk and natural oils. Each batch of soap is hand-cut into 4-5 ounce bars and cured for several weeks. Because we hand-cut each bar, the exact size may vary slightly. In addition, because of the seasonality of our goat milk and other natural ingredients, you may notice slight changes in color between bars.
