Hello Everyone! I hope you all have been having a happy holiday season so far. It has been a while since I’ve posted an update to the blog. We have been very fortunate this year and very busy too! Our fall festival season was jam packed with shows, soap making, and getting read for the holidays. Before we kick off the Christmas leg of our nation's ever expanding holiday season, I want to take some time out to give thanks to everyone who helped make The Old Colony Company success during its first year in business.
First, I would like to thank all our customers who visited us online and in person at this season’s arts and craft festivals. We are deeply appreciative of your business, and have been inspired by your ideas. I’m especially grateful for your response to our Wooly Bullies, which we sold exclusively at our shows. Felting started out as something I did for fun, and you have helped turn into a full blown passion. I have had many customers ask when these will be on the website. We are setting up an order page now, and plan to launch it live on the site in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we are happy to do custom orders for the holidays. Feel free to contact us with your request.
Special thanks to our awesome group of wholesale customers who have helped us tremendously grow our business over the past year. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you to make 2012 the most prosperous year.
Secondly, thanks to our family and friends who spent hours of their free time helping us prepare for shows, man the booths, build displays, knit body cloths, band soap, and willingly perform countless other tasks that helped us bring our customers the best, highest quality products possible. Without you, The Old Colony Company would not be possible.
I would also like to thank our partner artists and craftpersons, especially Pat Brumbaugh, Michael McIntyre, Lisa Kovatch, and Jennifer Snyder. We are very fortunate to have partnered with such gifted artists who share our vision of strengthening communities through local sourcing.
Finally, we want to thank our local farmers and small businesses that supply us with the premium ingredients we use to make all our products, from fresh goat milk and oils to our packaging. Through our network of businesses, our ultimate goal is to grow together to strengthen small businesses and local communities and across the nation.
